Whatever You Do In Word Or In Deed (Part One)

The Apostle Paul said in Colossians 3:17 that whatever one does in word or in deed in the Body of Christ, or in service unto the Lord, do it all in the Name of the Lord. Not some, not this or that, or the other, but do it ALL in the Name of the Lord.

So in order do such, one must find who and what is “the Name” of the Lord.  For the Bible says that there is but One Lord, One Faith, and One Baptism, and if that be the case who is that Lord, the Lord God (our creator) or the Lord Jesus (our savior), as they both can’t be Lord, because again there is only One Lord.

But before his conversion while riding the road of Damascus, Paul, then Saul, was struck blind and heard a voice saying Saul, Saul, why does thou persecuted thou me.  And Paul replied, who art thou “Lord” and voice cried out, it is Jesus who thou (meaning he was the Lord) persecuted.  As Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.  So now back to our foundational scripture, if we are to do all that we do in word or deed in the Name of the Lord, then why are many aren’t doing this in the body of Christ.   Many who confess the Jesus as their Lord aren’t not obeying  the words of the Apostle Paul given to him by God, as Paul made it clear in his teaching that all scriptures are given by the inspiration of God.

As we pray in the Name of Jesus, we cast our demons in the Name of Jesus, we claim our healings in the Name of Jesus, we speak things into existence in the Name of Jesus, we claim our deliverance in the Name of Jesus, and on and on, and we do things in the Name of Jesus. And rightfully and scripturally we do so, but why when it comes down to being baptized in the Name of Jesus, many in the church world holds to the titles being baptized in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and the Holy Ghost, and their defense is because Jesus said to do it…..case close.

Forget the Apostles, forget that there no record of anyone in the Bible being baptized in the titles, forget those who walked with Jesus never did, forget all that….Jesus said baptized in the Name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost and that is good enough for them and to be truthful it’s good enough for me.  Because Jesus said let every man be a liar and let my word be true…..even it mean the apostles, if Jesus said to do it, then we got to do it.   Some say that we don’t have to baptize at all, but Jesus said “he that believes and is baptized, not just believe, but believe and is baptized shall be saved.

Some say you don’t have to speak in other tongues, but Jesus said in my Name they shall speak in other tongues, so I have no other choice to obey the words of the Jesus, so in accordance to God’s word which I believe has no error, from Genesis to Revelation, every word is true.

But if  I believe this, if I believe that being baptized in Father, Son, and Holy Ghost is correct, then why in God’s name do I stand by the belief that water baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus is the only biblically way to be baptized in water.  Unlike some I do not believe that it doesn’t matter if you are baptized in Jesus Name or in Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, just as long as one is baptized.  That’s a lie from the pit of Hell, yet I do believe that both Mathew 28:19 and Acts 2:38 are both correct, and  would give my life to stand by it, for it’s the Word of God.  And if I am to believe that I can do all things through Christ, if I am to believe that I am more than a conquer through Christ, and then I got to believe all the rest.  But in my believing I am taught to study and rightly divided the Word of God…….so it’s time to dividing, but that it part two.
